Hello you! Thankful doesn’t even describe how I feel about you finding this corner of the internet. I’m Tara — or Tara Sun, as I’m also called.

I’m a small town girl who, one day years ago, decided to start a blog on a whim. After a chronic illness diagnosis and dropping out of college (just to name a few twists and turns in the road), I heard the Lord tell me to start sharing my story. Well, really His story.

Now, here we are.

Day to day, you will find me…

• Living with and loving life with my amazing husband and high school sweetheart, Michael

• Taking care of and having the best time with our newest addition, our little baby boy, Hunter

• Publishing my book, Surrender Your Story (3/7/23), with Thomas Nelson

• Hosting the Truth Talks with Tara podcast (subscribe and come join us! We have the best time!)

• Sharing devotionals, video encouragement, and Bible study tips over on Instagram and YouTube

• Reading, working out, watching a good television show, taking walks around our sleepy town, and spending quality time with my people

It’s simple, really. God’s Word is alive and active (Hebrews 4:12). It’s overflowing with practical truth, life changing conviction, and unending purpose. It’s calling out to us, God’s heart on each page, wooing us to know Him and in turn, love Him deeper. So, that’s why I’m here.
